STUDENTS AND OTHERS INTERESTED IN CAREER DEVELOPMENT

HIGH SCHOOL/HIGH TECH provides direct services only to students with disabilities in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties, Maryland. However, resources have been developed which we feel should be shared with anyone who needs them. In this section we are providing linkages to some of these resources. If you are a sophmore or junior in Prince George's or Montgomery Counties and have a disability, click the PARTICIPANT INFO button to the left to find out what the program can offer you. Otherwise if you are a visitor please feel free to use the following resources.

The Signposts to Success will guide you through the steps for getting through school, help you think about your future, let you test your interests, help you get education and training after graduating, and more. Besides it is cool -- uses flash!!

FINANCIAL RESOURCES

There are numerous links to sites to assist in helping high school and collge students to further their education and training. The resources are categorized under General Information, National Resources and Local Resources.

SKILL POWER PACK (CYBERLEARNING)
We have identified many sites with learning resources. Generally they are free learning resources or trial periods of free learning. They are in many areas of science, computers and programming, study skills, mathematics and others. Some of the learning resources are for beginners, but others are for advanced students. 2. Job Connections and College Admissions  Learn how to get good job and how to get additional training.
3. Careers For Your Choosing  Not sure of your career path. Check here for resources to help you learn about the many jobs you could qualify and train for. Don't limit your options. Check these out.
4. Professional Organizations  To learn more about your career interests go to these site. Most professional organizations have resources for attracting students to their field and we have gathered together some of the interesting ones.
5. Ladies Only  Resources especially for girls, but guys can also look at them.
6. Tobacco Free -- It's good to Be  Check it out. More fun than you can imagine and the information is critical to having a long and healthy life.

We have arranged for online virtual tours to some interesting federal agencies, high tech firms, colleges and just cool sites.
